Hello dear Experts,

I have an idea, and I want to work on developing an API that integrates social media analysis. This API will pull data from platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, providing comprehensive insights and reports to users.

Β

Could you guide me on the feasibility of this idea and if this idea is applicable, and help me with structuring the workflow and getting started?

do those platforms allow this kind of data to be take?

Β

Β

Thank you so much for your support

@amr-atef Yes you can extract such data from these platforms but this requires to use their API which would cost you depending on the pricing of each platform. In addition, you need to see what does each platform allows you to extract through their api.

What kind of data do you want to extract and do you want to just show it or you want to use it to generate some kind of SEO strategy?

Thank you for your response! I’d like to extract posts and content within a specified date range, along with key metrics such as likes, comments, interactions, and the type of post (e.g., text, image, video).

The goal is to use this data for SEO purposes, analyze competitors, and generate detailed reports for my clients or users.

@amr-atef Extracting the content should be easy and straightforward you check each social media platform's API documentation and see which metrics you can extract and how you can use each API in your code (they're paid, but you may have a free quota).

To use this data for SEO, you'll need to use SEO-related apis (soon @admin will post his apis that you can use), and once you get the data you can use AI to generate a report for your clients.

If you need anything else let me know!

@amr-atef Hi, I recommend you start with one platform, and build the prototype, then you can scale.

Start with YouTube, as you can get started for free with their API, collect some data about videos, and then see what and how you want to analyze.Β
