I tried two different prompts and for each the range of responses varied dramatically. 

Prompt: List 5 ideas for a late night snack

The list of suggested snacks is very basic until Top_p is higher than .5 (even with the Temperature at 2)

But once Top_p is higher than .5, the food options get much more interesting.

Anyway, WOW! It makes a HUGE impact on the output.

And I've learned that if I want ChatGPT to write me a story and suggest something good to eat, I'm setting the Temperature and Top_p to HIGH NUMBERS (but keeping Top_p at .99 or lower).
